Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons in Santa Barbara

Stand Up Paddle Board Location

West Beach

West Beach is located between the Santa Barbara Pier and the harbor. From this beach we have quick access to touring the harbor, viewing the sea lions at the quarter mile buoy and taking a closer look under the pier!

West beach is a definite fan favorite with so much to see and its tranquil waters make for a great experience. This is the easiest spot to paddle board in town and when finished you’re right downtown for food and shopping.

Open everyday May - September and by reservation in other seasons.

John Calforda

Surf & SUP Instructor

I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I grew up in northern California in the Napa Valley and found my love for adventure/action sports through skateboarding and snowboarding. I still enjoy them both, but when I moved to Santa Barbara I found surfing and haven’t really looked back since! Now, I work as a surf instructor for SB Fitness Tours / Santa Barbara Surf School. and through teaching lessons I have seen many others experience the same joy and sense of fulfillment that I have felt in my surfing, and I highly recommend anyone who is curious to come and feel it for themselves!
