Santa Barbara is known for its sunny weather and gorgeous beaches. We are lovers of the ocean and adventure seekers. Efoils are the perfect way to combine both of our passions in a new and exciting way. Come take an efoil lesson and see what we are so stoked about! Outdoor enthusiasts love our battery-powered electric foils. Each efoil is about 6’ with motor and propeller technology attached to a carbon fiber hydrofoil that allows you to go up to 20 miles an hour on your board!If you have never even heard of an efoil and are curious or keep hearing about it and are dying to try it out, these efoil lessons are absolutely perfect for you.

Each lesson will include access to the efoil board, a wetsuit, a helmet/headset, a life vest, and an experienced instructor. Our instructors are knowledgeable and well equipped to teach you the skills and techniques to make you a successful rider.Lessons are about 2 hours long and occur at 10:30. To book a lesson you can go to our website or give us a call. Upon booking, we will send you directions on where to meet and ask for your weight and height so that we can provide you with the gear that best suits your needs.

What is an Efoil?
Efoil boards are basically short surfboards that have a hydrofoil attached to the bottom of them. This hydrofoil is essentially an extended carbon fiber pole-like object that goes into the water a couple of feet deep and has a wing attached to the end of it. This wing has a propeller right next to it that is controlled by a remote. As the rider presses the remote, the propeller moves the board forward and the wing interacts with the water pushing the board above the ocean. This allows riders to glide over the water instead of directly on top of it.

2 People: $250 per person
What to Expect During an Efoil Lesson?
Once you book a lesson you will meet us in front of the beach that we will be going out at. When you arrive we will give you the wetsuit that fits you best and all of us will suit up. Once we have our suits on, you will also put on our safety-approved helmets with waterproof headsets that are attached to them. You can then put on the lifevest we provide you with. We will test the sound and make sure you can hear our instructions. Then we will give you the remote control and show you how to use it and explain the different parts of it.
Once we are all geared up, we will head to the sand for a safety briefing. Our instructors will tell you all that you need to know regarding the board, remote control, and ocean safety precautions. We will practice basic techniques on the sand and teach you strategies for how to stand up and stay up. This safety briefing and explanation of parts of the board will last about 30-45 minutes to ensure you feel comfortable and understand all parts of the efoil.
Glide Over the Water!
Finally, it’ll be time to head into the water. Our instructors will guide you through your experience slowly and help you gain the confidence to stand up and get going all on your own. Our goal is to help you have a fun and safe experience! We want you to enjoy Santa Barbara and feel empowered to ride an efoil on your own.
We also have a stabilizing additional piece we can add to our efoils to make them more stable than the average efoil but we still strongly advise
Important Safety Precautions
- Please do not book an efoil lesson if you are not comfortable in the water and not coordinated with board sports. This activity can be dangerous for people very unfamiliar with water sports.
- Due to manufacturing specifications we have a strict 240lbs weight limit on our efoils. Please do not book an efoil lesson if you exceed this limit.
- For your safety you will be required to wear a helmet and life jacket for the entire duration of your lesson
- Each rider must be 18 years of age or older
