For $25 per person you can keep the bikes overnight and bring them back the next day. If you choose this option please drink and ride responsibly.

Helpful Tips Before You Cycle and Sip With Us 🙂

How does the tipping / gratuity work for the tasting room staff?

Included in the 105 dollar price for the tour is the cost of the beer, wine, tax and tip for our tasting room partners. When we arrive at the tasting room you won’t need to feel obligated to provide our partners with gratuity as we pass on part of the tour cost to them. Please note that the 105 dollar price does not include gratuities for the bike tour guide. Tips for your bike tour guide are not required but strongly encouraged if you had a great time.

What if I only want to drink wine? or only beer?

We’ve got you covered. As you may have noticed we have 4 partners but we’ll only have time to taste at 2 locations. When you meet your tour guide at our shop please specify if you’d prefer to visit 2 wineries or 2 breweries instead of 1 of each. Please note that if other tour-goers join; your preferred wine/beer ratio may not be possible.

Why these 4 tasting rooms and not others?

When selecting our partners we wanted to highlight the growing businesses in Santa Barbara that make this town special. From Validation Ale we see creativity and ambition in pursuit of better beer. Humble enough to ask their guests to help them create the best beer around. We see innovation and harmony from Draughtsmen Aleworks, being the only brewery in town to share space with other vendors. This creates an attractive place for community members to meet with loved ones to share and catch up. To truly get a taste for Santa Barbara we also highlight Grassini Family Vineyards because of their family’s passion for wine. Their lovely tasting room is a hidden gem filled with history and comfort. Not to mention rated Santa Barbara’s Best Tasting Room by the local Independent magazine.

Is it ok for us to be biking and tasting?

The short answer is yes, if. Yes, it is legal to bike and have an appropriate and responsible amount of alcohol. Yes, it is also illegal to bike while under the influence of alcohol or in other words over the legal BAC limit of .08%. We tell every tour-goer before they hop on a bike that they are not allowed to consume alcohol on the tour if doing so would raise their BAC above .08%. We have carefully designed the tour to only include a responsible 10-12 oz serving of 5-7% ABV beer and a 6-7 oz serving of 12-15% wine. If consuming that amount of alcohol will bring your body over the legal limit we kindly ask that you pay $10 per person to have your bikes picked up at the final tasting room.
