The ocean water will often times be more calm in the morning. From this beach we have quick access to touring the harbor, viewing the sea lions at the quarter mile buoy and taking a closer look under the pier!<\/p>\n<p>West beach is a fan favorite with so much to see and its tranquil waters make for a great experience. Join us at Cal Coast Adventures in beautiful Santa Barbara and let us help you get the training and rentals you want. We offer stand up paddle board lessons and <a href=\"\/stand-paddle-rentals\/\">paddle board rentals<\/a> from our <a href=\"\/locations-hours\/\">West Beach location in the heart of Santa Barbara.<\/a> Lessons are private so you or your group will have their own guide\/instructor.<\/p>\n<p>We teach our paddle board lessons at West Beach as it is the most protected area to launch from and has the calmest water conditions for learning. We also have an hourly rental stand there for those that would just like to rent a stand up paddle board while visiting Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n<p>Our experienced staff have their eyes constantly on the weather and will be able to assure you the conditions are optimal for the day of your lesson. Lessons include a stand up paddle board, paddle, and wet suit rental upon request for 90 minutes of private instruction.<\/p>\n<p>For lessons, our knowledgeable staff will take you through the proper paddling technique, offer balance tips, and paddle out with you on the water for support and advice. You&#8217;re likely to see seals, fish, and possibly dolphins swim by you as you paddle.<\/p>\n<p>Our stand up paddle (SUP) tours are leisurely and can be quite calming in the serene waters of Santa Barbara. For those more aggressive paddlers, our instructors will adapt the lesson to ensure sure you get that full-body workout you&#8217;re looking for.
