Routes will vary as your guide will customize the road bike tour to fit your riding style. This road bike tour is designed to show off the beautiful coastline of Santa Barbara. We may take a bike path out to UCSB to stay away from cars or we may take you south down the coastal bike route. It is a great way to see Santa Barbara in a way that most tourists don’t get a chance to. You’ll also get a workout so that following the tour you can indulge at the many great wineries and restaurants in Santa Barbara. For your safety helmets are both required and provided on this bike tour.

Coastal Santa Barbara Road Bike Tour
Difficulty: Moderate – Hill Climbs involved with a faster pace if you’d like

This road bike tour is geared more towards the typical cyclist; someone that bikes on a weekly basis. Our guide will ride at your tempo as we don’t want you too sore on your vacation. The route will include some hill climbs with great views, rolling hills, and some flat sections to warm up the legs or give them a break. You will have a good mix of coastal and mountain riding. The number of miles covered will vary per group but the tour will last between 2 and 3 hours. On our coastal road bike tour, you are more than likely see some beautiful areas in Montecito, Summerland, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara on this road bike tour. For your safety helmets are both required and provided on this bike tour.

Difficulty: Advanced – Hill climbs with a decent tempo.

This tour is the Coastal Santa Barbara Road Bike Tour on steroids. You’ll get to see many of the same things and some new ones as we’ll be covering more ground. Gibraltar, Old San Marcos Road, El Camino Cielo, and Refugio are all riding options on this tour. The first couple overlook Santa Barbara while Refugio overlooks the coastline just North of Goleta. In either case you’re going to have the best seat in the house overlooking the Santa Barbara Channel and the Channel Islands on a clear day. Amazing views! Great workout! High-end bikes! Lead Bike Guide and Bike Mechanic
Born and raised Santa Barbara local boy. I grew up riding a bike and I was always enthused with how far I could go as a young kid. I got into BMX freestyle in the 80s, did competitions and shows while traveling around the world. After retiring from BMX I got into mountain bike racing. I did cross country racing for about 15 years. I’ve done a lot of off-road bikes touring in the local Santa Ynez mountains, which has helped my knowledge of the trails as well as learning the rich history of Santa Barbara. I’m excited to meet you and can’t wait to take you out for a ride. Whether it’s mountain biking or road biking I hope you're ready to hurt a little but in a good and encouraging way?
